About Our Community
Preserving a Safe, Clean, and Private Neighborhood for Generations
Our Story
Nestled in the Inglewood area of King County, Washington, our neighborhood has long been defined by its private roads, tree-lined streets, and strong sense of community. Since the early 1950s, longtime residents have taken pride in maintaining the peaceful, private character that makes this place special.
In 1958, neighbors came together to form the Inglewood Maintenance Commission, Inc. — a non-profit corporation — when roads had become nearly impassable. Residents pooled resources, paved the roads themselves, and created a lasting structure to protect and care for our shared spaces. This spirit of collective responsibility continues today.
Our Purpose & Duties
As stated in Article II of our Bylaws, the Commission exists as a non-profit maintenance corporation specifically for the Inglewood Country Club Tracts (the legal description covering our residential area).
Our Board of Trustees carries out the duties outlined in Article VII, which include:
- Maintaining and improving our roads, easements, rights-of-way, and shared properties
- Enforcing protective restrictions, covenants, and conditions to preserve the single-family residential character of the neighborhood
- Managing fair assessments to fund these essential efforts
- Keeping properties free of weeds, debris, and obstructive growth (per Article X)
Our Sentimental Goal
We are committed to keeping our streets safe and clean while protecting the privacy that longtime neighbors cherish. By working together, we ensure that the quiet, family-friendly environment we love remains for future generations — just as previous residents did when they joined hands to build and maintain these roads more than 65 years ago.
